The Czech Republic is one of the most atheistic countries in the world, with approximately 70% of Czechs calling themselves atheists or agnostics. We work with Czech churches that are passionate for evangelism, discipleship, and church planting.
Decades of Soviet atheism strongly influenced the Czech people – creating one of the most secular countries in the world. While most are more agnostic than truly atheistic, it does paint a picture of spiritual apathy. As one Czech theology student from a liberal school said, “I believe that there’s some higher power but I can’t say that it’s some god like God.” Less than 0.5% of Czechs are members of evangelical churches.
